  3rd Wednesday of the month in Cambridge 🇬🇧

  A new session, including music from anywhere in Europe and a small space for social dance. In the Devonshire Arms, near the station, 8-11pm. Currently organised over WhatsApp, email Portmanteau to get information or be added to the group.

• Chippenham Folk Festival

  Late May bank holiday in Chippenham, Wiltshire 🇬🇧

  As part of the general folk festival, Chippenham usually includes a couple of workshops on Nordic dance, and a main Bal including some Nordic dancing. This usually happens on the Monday, and runs until late.

  3 days of European music and dancing, including Scandi, French and Balkan.

• Ketton Scandi Dance

  Every few months in Ketton, near Peterborough 🇬🇧

  Organised by dance teacher Michael Cade-Stewart. Usually publicised over Facebook, or via a mailing list, or occasionally on their website, where you can join the mailing list.

  Alongside their regular French-focussed bal events, sometimes London Balfolk has events including Nordic dances, including bringing in bands from abroad. Sometimes also organised on Facebook.

  First Thursday of the month in Primrose Hill, London 🇬🇧

  Dance workshop followed by social dancing to live musicians, un by dance teachers Michael Cade-Stewart and Rosie Bryce. Organised via Facebook, flyers or a mailing list.

• Skint

  First weekend of November in Ashover, Derbyshire 🇬🇧

  Skint is a long weekend of Scandinavian and International dance, where everyone pitches in. There’s a variety of music and dance workshops during the day, then social dancing, opportunities to play for dance, and music sessions in the evenings. Skint sells out very fast, get on their mailing list to know when booking opens.
